Fundraising at Wat Khmer Samacki in Richmond, VA, Oct, 2021

Phchum Ben at Wat Khmer Samacki in Richmond, VA and Fundraising. We would like to thank Bong Khan and Bong Pim for their kindness and their hospitality.
We had a great time with my friends and other people at the Temple. The Temple President and his Board Members were very nice to us. Every hour they came to check with us and the vendors near us to see how we were doing. They also told us to get breakfast, drinks, tea or coffee and at lunch time they came to invite us to get lunch. When we were busy, they brought food, drinks ,and desserts for us. I went to the bathroom and, on the way back, I stopped at the food area and there many kinds of food. People were friendly and invited us to come again so they can help buy LFF merchandise. At the Temple they have chairs and Tables for you and your family to sit and eat and they also have umbrellas mounted in the tables. It is a nice place. The temple itself isn’t big like the Maryland Temple but the complex is on a 28 acre plot. This temple was just built about 5 years ago. It’s a beautiful place and is kept up very well. I hope you all can join us at Khmer New Year at Wat Khmer New Year next April.

Erick’s sacrifice in donating $500 to the needy people in Cambodia Sept., 2021

I am very impressed with Erick’s sacrifice in donating $500 to the needy people in Cambodia. $200 of that donation provided food supplies for 10 needy families and $300 will go to help Cambodian students. Erick follows in his father’s footsteps. His beloved father was very kind and sacrificed much to the Cambodian people. He built houses for them, provided tuition to college students, provided school supplies for students, and simply loved Cambodian people. After his father died, while he was still very young, I would take Erick to Cambodia and teach him to do charity work among my people. I would also teach him about how wonderful his father was. May God bless you throughout your entire life. I love you always ❤️

Food and Supplies for a Needy Family in Siem Reap

We would like to thank Mrs. Mealy Chhim for her donation of $50 to provide food supplies, a blanket, a mosquito net, and a mat for a destitute family in Siem Reap province. The father is blind, one daughter is autistic, and one son is handicapped. This mother works dawn to dusk to feed the whole family of 7. We appreciate Mrs. Mealy Chhim helping this family in their difficult time. May God bless them all
